Apokofto beach in Sifnos island, Cyclades: Apokofto (or Apokoftou) is a small sandy beach on the southern side of Sifnos island. This is actually the main beach of Chrissopighi village, the small settlement right next to the Monastery of Chrissopighi. Founded in 1650, this monastery is the protector of the island and particularly distinguishes for its architecture: this is a white church built on top of two rocks just by the sea.
The beach of Apokofto gives great view to this monastery and has nice fish taverns with table right on the sand. This is a beautiful place to enjoy some truly relaxing moments. Some Sifnos studios and apartments are also found in walking distance from this beach.
