Panteli (or Pandeli) is a large fishing village on the north eastern side of Leros island. Over the years, Panteli has expanded and today it is almost attached to the two neighboring villages, Agia Marina and Platanos. Constructed around a natural bay, Panteli has a small fishing port where boats and private yachts moor in summer, traditional houses and nice promenades along the sea. Shops, cafeterias and taverns are scattered around the village as well as small studios and family apartments with nice view.
Right next to the fishing port of Panteli is a small beach organized with sun beds and umbrellas. The beach of Panteli is accessible on foot from the village centre and has many tourist facilities in close distance. On the hill top above Panteli lies the Medieval Castle of Leros, constructed in the 14th century by the Knights of Saint John. The Castle offers breathtaking view to the Aegean Sea. Few steps from the entrance of the Castle is the small church of Prophet Elias. The road leading to the castle is lined up with traditional windmills.
