Grikos is a lovely region about 5 km from Skala, the port of Patmos island. The road from Skala to Grikos continues parallel to the sea and creates a nice walk or drive away. Grikos is a popular settlement during summer, with any studios and family apartments, taverns by the sea, cafeterias and bike rentals. The bus from Skala stops about 50 meters from the beach.
The beach of Grikos in Patmos is the longest on the island. It is sandy with small pebbles and has crystal waters. Part of Grikos beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas. At Grikos there is also a small port where fishing boats and yachts moor in summer. Few more upscale Patmos hotels are found in the region.
