Kapsali is the most tourist place in Kythira island, Greece. This place is actually made of two bays, one large and another slightly smaller. Both bays are lined up with restaurants, cafeterias, Kythira beach hotels and shops. This is a popular place day and night, attracting many visitors due to the nice organized beach.
In fact, Kapsali is among the easiest accessible beaches in Kythira, an island famous for its many secluded beaches that can be accessed through dirt roads. The shallow safe waters of Kapsali attract many families with kids.
In the evenings, visitors stay in Kapsali for a drink or head up to Chora, only a couple of km away. There is also a small marina in Kapsali Kythira, where yachts and fishing boats moor in summer. According to the myth, the ancient Greek goddess Aphrodite was born from the sea waves just off the bay of Kapsali.
