About us

Welcome to our website! We are a team of people with one common passion: our love for Greece and the Greek islands. As you are browsing this Greece travel guide, probably you have the same passion with us! We created Thalassa Holidays to help people organize their holidays in Greece. Though our website, you will find general information about this country and how to come as well as information on popular Greek islands and less-known tourist destinations, their historical background, best beaches, villages, top attractions and of course advice on how to get there.

What does our name mean?

We were looking for a name that would vividly remind of Greece. So, we thought what is Greece most of all? Sun, culture and sea… Eventually we chose to focus on sea, as it gives us a more positive and powerful feeling. Thus we called our website Thalassa, the Greek word for sea.

Are you looking for hotels in Greece?

Although we have made sure that you will get valuable information about each Greek destination, the core of our website is the Greek hotel search engine. Through this engine, you can look for Greek hotels at your selected destination and period of time. Enter your traveling details (e.g. where you are going, when, how many people will be traveling with you) and the engine will give you the appropriate results arranged by price.

We present each Greek hotel with photos, detailed text and location on Google map. After you have found your best hotel in Greece, contact the hotel manager through the request form to check for availabity during your traveling dates or ask any question you might want to ask. This request form can also be found on the presentation page of every hotel.

We love hearing from you!

Do not hesitate to contact us for any question you might have regarding your holidays in Greece. You can ask us anything: how is weather is like, about ferry schedules to the Greek islands, our advice on what to see, or even our suggestions on where to stay. We will actually be surprised of how many things we know! So, feel free to contact us. In fact, this communication with you is our most favorite part of the job!
