Best beaches and villages in Lefkada

Lefkada beaches are famous around the world for their exotic water and the large coastline. Especially the beaches on the western side of the island, like Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Kathisma and Mylos, are the most characteristic of Lefkada. Other great Lefkada beaches are Agios Ioannis and Vassiliki, that are getting very popular among windsurfers and kitesurfers, due to the special wind conditions that blow there in summer afternoons.

Port of Nidri in Lefkada island, Greece
Nidri (or Nydri) is the most tourist village in Lefkada island. Located on the eastern side of the island, it gets busy due to the many tourist facilities and its port. The port of Nidri serves ferries to the neighboring island of Meganisi all year round.
